WELCOME! This is NUSCE (NUS Computational Economics) study group

NUSCE is launched and self-organized by Ph.D. students at NUS, we learn how to compute the models (solve economics and finance problems) efficiently.

  • The main reference is Numerical methods in economics. (Judd, K. L., & Judd, K. L. 1998. MIT press.)

  • At the very beginning, we will equip ourselves with needed CS skills. They are extremely helpful in execution and deployment parts

  • Learning by doing: demo codes are created by us for each topic

  • In the view of “big data” and technology advances, methods, tools, and models dealing with large scale and high dimensionality are included as supplements for the reference. (we only care about how to use them, theoretical proof will not be explained in length)

❗ This is NOT a reading group (reading papers for research), it is a study group with emphasis on learning skills and techniques!
